Webで見られるたくさんの画像をスクロールして見ていると、スクロール中にちらついて見える画像があることに気がつきました。私はそれに興味を持ち、ちらつきが起こりやすい条件を探して、スクロールをすることでちらつく曲線の集まりをつくりました。

When scrolling and seeing many images seen on the web, I noticed that there are images that look flickering during scrolling. I was interested in it, looking for conditions that are likely to cause flicker, I made a "gathering of curves" that flickers by scrolling.

シンプルな色や形が並べられたエルズワースケリーの作品群に惹かれて、そこに見た目が変化するものが加わるとどのように見えるか興味が湧いたので形にしました。

I was fascinated by Ellsworth Kelly's work lined with simple colors and shapes, and I was curious as to what it would look like if something with a changing appearance was added to it, so I did it.

白地に赤丸の画像をこねて引き伸ばしました。

その作業が行われることを知らずに赤丸の画像を見た人は、もしかしたらそれが日本の国旗のように見えるかもしれません。

しかしその作業が行われることを知った人は、赤丸が抽象的な作品に変化する種のように見えるかもしれません。

ねんど遊びのような感覚から生まれたこの作品は、私に記憶と像の関係について考えるきっかけを与えてくれました。そしてこの作業は筆で描かれたものとは異なる色面やエッジを見る人に与えてくれます。

I kneaded and stretched the image of the red circle on a white background.

Those who see the image of the red circle without knowing that the work will be done may look like the Japanese flag.

But to those who know that the work will be done, the red circles may seem like a seed that transforms into an abstract work.

Born of a sense of clay play, this work gave me an opportunity to think about the relationship between memory and images. And this work gives the viewer a different color and edge than what was drawn with the brush.
